(b) Though the VOA report cites a report in Sun News Network, that report is exactly the same as the Winnipeg Sun report, and published on the same day. This is not surprising, because Winnipeg Sun is owned by Sun Media, and the latter is a subsidiary of Quebecor Media. Sun News Network is also an asset of Quebecor Media.
(c) The VOA report also states: “加拿大《溫尼伯太陽報》星期三报道说,总理办公室作出这一前所未有的决定也是考虑到这些记者有可能是为中国收集情报的间谍。”
(i) However, Winnipeg Sun does not publish such a report. yesterday (Wednesday, Aug 21, 2014) or any other day.
(ii) In fact, the allegation comes from Epoch Times, based on an event (unrelated to the Arctic) two years ago..
