Note: The report lacks details. Somewhat more is disclosed in the earliest report on this subject. (Still the Reuters report does not say when the extended patrol will start, the airbase--though Japan apparently is to deploy P-1, as Reuters hints, which is the equivalent of Boeing P-8 Poseidon. My comment: India has wanted o build six diesel-powered submarines. "Rs" is India currency symbol, similar to $; "crore" is ten million in India. The newspaper describes India's invitation as a "feeler" on the part of Modi administration. There is no need to read the report.
