(Defense Ministry decides to conduct Japan – US Bilateral Joint Exercise in the late January, next year, which incorporate for the first time the defense of Nansei shoto. To bring out the concept of 'southwestern wall' that will shut in [or contain] China's navy within East China Sea. The exercise , to be done on the map [table top], supposes the dispatch of troops to and reclaim [part of] Amami Ōshima.
