It appears you have some misunderstanding of political ideologies. The left (liberals) and right (libertarians and conservatives) in US are both for liberty. In fact, freedom of speech, rule of law, check and balance of power etc are axioms and implicit context in America's political discourse. They are arguing about the details of the role of a limited government. In China the "right" for the most part are just arguing for these axioms, which may be the exact conditions to peacefully achieve the goals (equality and protection of the disadvantaged) of the left. Nevertheless, it is a reality that both left and right can be manipulated by the powerful, and the increasing gap of wealth is extremely alarming.
Let me be a contrarian for once, what is so unique about Chinese culture, and how much of it is still going in the Chinese society today? Take a step back, are we human beings first, or Chinese human beings first? If we are human beings first, is it more important to look at things that make us human beings and things that cohere decent human societies than things that distinguish Chinese and Americans?
