("广州暨南大学取消了一名美国学者有关伊斯兰教的学术讲座。暨南大学文学院教授和讲座主持人姚新勇星期二对中国官方英文版的《环球时报》说，该讲座已被取消，但拒绝详细说明。马海云是马里兰霜堡州立大学历史系副教授、乔治城大学历史学博士、中央民族大学民族学／人文学硕士，原籍青海西宁，主要从事中国穆斯林民族和伊斯兰教以及中国－伊斯兰教世界关系研究。马海云原定于6月21日在暨南大学进行讲座，题目是 '实践的文学："汉克塔布" 的 "经世致用。" '汉克塔布'又名 '汉书，'是明清之际中国穆斯林的宗教文本")
