(i) Ivan J Kanapathy's title is Director for China, Taiwan, and Mongolia (likely the only such director under President Trump), National Security Council. There is no Wiki page for or biography in the Web about him. He was with United States Marine Corps (USMC).
(ii) Trump's first National Security Advisor (NSA; head of National Security Council) Michael Flynn hired Matthew Pottinger (also from USMC) as NSC's Director for Asia (a rank higher than Kanapathy). Trump fired NSA John R Bolton on Sept 10, 2019. Pottinger was elevated to deputy NSA on Sept 22, 2019. Kanapathy remains where he was.
(iii) NSC has headquarters at EEOB (see (b)). See table in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Un ... al_Security_Council
