Pierre Tran, Technology gives Paris an Appetite for Renewal; Business Development; The arrival of Google and Microsoft have set a tone of optimism. Financial Times, Dec. 3, 2010.

Excerpt in the window of print: French engineers have carved out a name for themselves for visual imagination and technical skills

My comment:
(a) Right following the excerpt is this sentence:

"Indeed, as a Gallic equivalent of selling coals to Newcastle, Aldebaran Robotics, a French company, has sold 30 of its Nao humanoid robots to Tokyo University.

(b) One may visit the home page of Aldebaran
http://www.aldebaran-robotics.com/en
and (by moving the left or right icons) click a video clip at the lower left corner titled "Nao for Research 1.6."
(c) Judging from the last name (Tran) of the author, he is of Vietnamese descent.
(d) Other than the above, there is no need to read the report.

You will see the helicopter as soon as you enter the home page. For more information, you can click "PRODUCTS" in the top bar and select "Hawk Eye."
(d) I chooses the above three toys for further investigation.
(e) The toys in (a) and (c) are found online if you click "Some Promising Ideas That Didn’t Quite Work" that appears in the left column of the web page. In the print, however, there is only ONE report.

About (2) in the original posting --attached below--I just found the report that was published yesterday.

The two links I provided in the original are drafts.
