My comment: IHS has foretold for a couple of years (3?) that Chin awould surpass US as the largest manufacturer. Last yeat (2010) it said that its prediction a year earlier did not materialize, but that 2010 might be the year. Now it declared so. IHS has been a lone voice in the wilderness. However it did say last year that its calculations were based on "value added" rather than total values of China's goods (because value added contributed by or in China is trivial). So I am clueless why Mr McDougle says to the contrary. Also 生产效率 is productivity (output per hour per worker). Finally
