(b) The "adies" are DPP presidential candidate's.
(c) The Journalist 新新聞 (a DPP-leaning weekly of politics)

My comment:
(a) Jacqueline Liu (the name by China Post and Taipei Times) is identified as Hsien-Hsien Liu in other English-language reports from Kansas City Star to Associated Press.
(b) The "September 19" date in this report should be Sept 18 (Friday).
(c) To date, Taiwan still insists whatever she did is covered by diplomatic immunity.
