it's so weird you compare using drugs with selling organ. as to the addiction or those possible consequences of using drugs i totally agree with you, but i dont see they are good arguments supporting 'using drugs is WRONG'. what they establish at most is only that drug use is BAD, which i can very well agree, but a bad behavior, my preference of chocolate than fruit for instance, is not necessarily wrong. Freedom, indeed, consists in many cases in our free choice of doing things bad...
yeah this is basically what i mean. The after-death consideration however is too trivial to be serious. Like any other citizens the drug user pays tax to the government as well and for that matter they are entitled to every rights equally enjoyed by others. Moreover, if it's not the government's responsibiliyt to take care of the dead body still the drug user, like anyone else, has relatives! So I dont see that would be any problem at all.
this again falls into what i have mentioned before: what is bad to the society is not necessarily wrong to do either on the individuals part, or right to prohibit on the government's part. Anyone, no matter drug user or not, in a certain sense, is a kind of burden of the society. That we are benifited from the society is the very point why we want and join one. I don't see these considerations by themselve are particularly infavourable to drug users.

i see, maybe i misread him as saying 'selling others organs'...
in the case of selling my own body parts similarly i dont see there is anything wrong with it. Of course, this may looks like CRUEL, but cruelty is one thing but wrong-doing is another. Every war is cruel but this does not mean to get into a just war is anything wrong. The criticism of selling organs, as i see it, is related more to the defect of the society we are living in now (capitalism), not a general consideration of ethical right or wrong.
as to legal considration, that is, selling organs is illegal in many contries, this is totally irrelevant to the argument. At any rate, i'm not saying using drugs is legal...but to be illegal is one thing and to be wrong another.
