关于刘文彩，秦晖先生在其讲座录像[1]中有谈及。他认为，刘文彩不是中共所抹黑的那么凶残，但并不是一个良善之辈。
周扒皮倒是一个老实巴交的自耕农民（地主），与其给刘文彩平反，不如首先给周扒皮平反冤屈。
