Lily Kuo, Hooters restaurant underscores mixed sexual messages in China; The
Beijing Hooters is a lot like its American counterpart, but it's also a
snapshot of changing attitudes toward sex in China, a country full of
contradictions. Los Angeles Times, Apr. 9, 2010.

My comment:
(a) Founded in 1983, Hooters is a restaurant chain headquartered at Atlanta
Georgia.
(b) Established in 1913 by Society of Jesus/Jesuits, Sophia University 上智
大学--the latter is pronounced in Japan as Jōchi daigaku--has this meaning:
"sophia" is a Greek noun for "wisdom;" 上智 is derived from "人を望ましい人
間へと高める最上の叡智" (my translation: God's top wisdom to elevate people
to hoped-for humans)

(c) The report says, Ms. Jiang Xin "coaches them * * * the real meaning of '
Hooters.'"
Well, the noun and verb "hoot" means "the cry of an owl." So I thought a
hooter was an owl. After reading this report, I came to know there was
another definition.
