(b) It is unlikely.  WANG Jin-pyng 王金平, Taiwan legislature speaker and head of a KMT faction, advised KMT to do the same by removing 中國 from 中國國民黨 (to attract, or at least not to alienate, Taiwanese voters) went nowhere, even though many more have raised the topic informally.
