My comment:
(a) "但有消息人士告诉苹果日报，问题还是出在李 '不姓党。' "

I read the Apple Daily report --take notice it is Taiwan's, not Hong Kong's -- which actually cites 联合早报 ultimately. There is no need to read Apple Daily.
(b) I search the Web for a couple of hours. Even though all Chinese-language news reports (including Boxun News) cite 新加坡联合早报网, I simply can not find it there (zaobao.com) -- last night and today. At long last, my frustration was seconded. See
