(2) Kevin Rawlinson, Former Hong Kong Governor Accuses UK of 'Selling Its Honour' over Protests. Guardian, Jan 25, 2017

(Chris "Patten told the BBC’s Newsnight programme")
Note:
(a) BBC Chinese cited the Guardian report (but not BBC English report) and quoted 陈方安生.
(b)
(i) The content and length of the two English-language reports are similar, except that Guardian alone (in text) quotes Anson Chan. The following is Guardian's sole paragraph on Ms Chan:
"Anson Chan, the former Hong Kong chief secretary who worked as Patten's deputy, echoed his concern. 'Unfortunately, the rest of the world – particularly Great Britain – would rather pretend not to see what is going on,' she said. 'If they continue to ignore this steady erosion, by the time they wake up to the fact that 'one country, two systems' exists only in name, it will be too late.'
(ii) Instead the BBC English says
(A) in text: "Anson Chan, former Hong Kong chief secretary - who worked as Lord Patten's deputy - also expressed deep concern about China's behaviour towards Hong Kong.
(ii) in the caption of the photo of Ms Chan: "Anson Chan: 'Should we all fear a midnight knock on the door?' [something the Guardian report does not have]
