Ian King and Debby Wu, Taiwan's TSMC Could Be About to Dethrone Intel. Bloomberg, Nov 28, 2018.

My comment:
(a) The title is a hyperbole a bit. Dethroning in what area(s)? Not in the strongholds or revenue, I foresee. I do notice this report says, "TSMC has a real chance to replace Intel as the best chipmaker in the business." So in nm, I guess. (But if so, Intel was ALREADY dethroned when Samsung first mass-produced 10nm in 2017.)
(b) "Advanced Micro Devices Inc founder Jerry Sanders. "Real men have fabs,' he quipped at a conference * * * Sanders’ current successor at AMD, Chief Executive Officer Lisa Su, doesn’t have to worry about this because the company sold its factories and lets TSMC handle the complex production."
(i) Based in Santa Clara, Calif, "Advanced Micro Devices was formally incorporated on May 1, 1969, by Jerry Sanders, along with seven of his colleagues from Fairchild Semiconductor. Sanders, an electrical engineer who was the director of marketing at Fairchild, had, like many Fairchild executives, grown frustrated with the increasing lack of support, opportunity, and flexibility within the company, and decided to leave to start his own semiconductor company. The previous year Robert Noyce, who had invented the first practical integrated circuit or the microchip in 1959 at Fairchild, had left Fairchild together with Gordon Moore and founded the semiconductor company Intel in July 1968." en.wikipedia.org for "Advanced Micro Devices" (citations omitted).
As a new hire at Texas Instrument Jack Kilby independently invented integrated circuit in 1958.
(ii) "Real men have" wieners (ie, penises), feelings too, beards, manners (some of what I find in the Web)
(iii) Lisa Su

(Lisa Tzwu-Fang SU 蘇姿豐 was born in Tainan, Taiwan, in November 1969 to Taiwanese parents Chun-Hwai Su 蘇春槐 and Sandy Su 羅淑雅; emigrated to US around 3; section 5 Personal life)
With BS, MS and PhD (in 1990, 1991 and 1994 (24 1/2 years old), respectively; all in electrical engineering and computer science -- ie, course 6) from MIT. MIT does not have "bachelor of engineering."

("三歲時即隨父負笈美國。當時Dr Tom Su [已经; Tom came alone in 1969 with 清華大學數學碩士學位; Lisa came with mother who then 進紐約市立大學修會計] 在哥倫比亞大學就讀研究院 [PhD in statistics]。Lisa Su旋即入學哥大師院附設的幼稚園及小學。1976年,Tom 搬到Bayside [a neighborhood in Queens, New York City] , Lisa後來就進入附近的小學PS [Public School] 203; 因其成績優異,不久即跳級進入特殊初中(2年制) * * * 鋼琴造詣亦高深。雖曾有機會入茱利葉音樂學院就讀,卻放棄之。 * * * Husband: 林大耀(Daniel Lin)")
(A) About the photo who caption is 全家福. Lisa Su has an elder brother. That is it -- no sister. I assume the left-most woman was Lisa.

("Which schools serve which grades?
(C) Every New York City school is different and may serve different grades. There are some that serve grades pre-k to 5, while others go up to 8th grade. There are middle schools for grades 6-8 and high schools for 9-12, but also some 6-12 schools. This means a child could attend three different schools between pre-k and high school or just two depending on the grade configuration")
New York City has middle (not junior high) schools.
(D) There is no need to read the rest.
