(i) Take notice in the last clause: "pendentives * * * between each window." This is correct. Read next.
(ii) On the left margin this section, there is a sketch, whose caption reads: "A reconstruction of the appearance of the west Wall chapel in the 1480s, prior to the painting of the ceiling."
You see one pendentive between a pair of windows. Abd you also see a triangular spandrel right atop each window.

, where Spandrels -- there are eight altogether, four on each side -- are colored. Click "Pendentives" at the horizontal bar in mid-page, and you then see FOUR pendentives at the four corners of the ceiling.
