Vladimir Gorelov, Letter to editor: In government, least is best, Financial
Times, Dec. 31, 2009.
My comment: This is a concise letter. I figure it will be easier to type it,
rather than providing a link. Here it is:
"Sir, Clive Crook summarises his critique of Barack Obama's first year as US president as "reluctance to lead" ("The real missed opportunity in Obama's first year", (December 28). He forgets the good American saying, 'That government is best which governs least.'
Vladimir Gorelov,
Elland, W Yorks, UK"
My comment: Civil Disobedience (Thoreau)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civil_Disobedience_(Thoreau)
("An aphorism sometimes attributed to either Thomas Jefferson or Thomas Paine, "That government is best which governs least", actually was first found in this essay [of Henry David Thoreau].")
