My comment:
(1) Taiwan has long planned to seek a safe haven for fighters. If the
fighters survive the first hit from China, there may be no airstrips, not to
mention air force bases, to fly fighters. Then the fighters will fall into
the sea when gas runs out. Taiwan might have an tacit agreement with
Singapore, but the latter seems more and more dubious. US allows Taiwanese
fighters to seek shelters in Guam, which is far.
