Note:
(a) Woods Hole, Massachusetts
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Woods_Hole,_Massachusetts
(in the town of Falmouth; The term "Woods Hole" refers to a passage for
ships between Vineyard Sound and Buzzards Bay known for its extremely strong
current, approaching four knots)
(b) The report quotes a scientist (Roger Hanlon) as saying, "People don’t
expect that from a creature related to an oyster.”

But they are VERY distant. Both octopus (in the class of Cephalopoda) and
oyster (in the class of Bivalvia) belong to the Phylum of Mollusca.

(c) cephalopod

(Greek for "head-feet")
