(1) Andrew Adam Newman, Poignant Endorsements In Weight-Loss Campaign. New York Times, Dec 20, 2012.
http://www.nytimes.com/2012/12/2 ... eight-loss-ads.html
(in January 2012 Ms Kimberley Vandlen was "filmed speaking to a Medifast nutritionist, and were directed to converse with the nutritionist as if they were speaking with their future, thinner selves. [She was called back in September 2012, after weight loss.]  When the cameras began rolling, she and the nutritionist swapped places, and this time the nutritionist fed Ms Vandlen her own words [made just before the September filming] back to her so that she was, effectively, having a conversation with her heavier self")

(2) Gordon Fairclough and Leos Rousek, Czechs get a kick out of Chuck Norris ads. Wall Street Journal, Dec 29, 2010.
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB ... 45742920566766.html
("'He's skating.' In Czech, the phrase is pronounced 'brusli.' A mother watching her child skate for the first time, exclaims happily, 'brusli!'  A puzzled Mr. Norris points to himself and says, 'Bruce Lee? No. Chuck Norris'")

Note: The English surname Fairclough is "from Fairclough Farm near Clitheroe in Lancashire, named in Middle English as fair clough ‘beautiful ravine.’"
