"香港人權民運信息中心星期二表示，中共中央前軍委副主席郭伯雄因涉嫌受賄而正在接受調查。

"法新社援引香港人權與民主信息中心的一份報告說，72歲的郭伯雄被懷疑收受賄賂，幫助他人晉升提級。報告說，中國實行“雙首長”制度，晉升軍銜必須得到兩位軍委副主席的同意，因此行賄的人一定要同時送兩份禮物。在今年6月，郭伯雄的同事前軍委副主席徐才厚因涉嫌受賄被開除黨籍，並且送交檢察機關進行處理。

(i) Oddly, the home page,

, of Hong Kong-Based Information Center for Human Rights & Democracy 香港人權民運信息中心 appears to re-publish select news. The one stands out at the top is "人权信息中心指郭伯雄步徐才厚後尘接受调查 - 商业电台 8/12" whose source is unique: itself. However, the content of the item is suspiciously short. Probably due to its brevity, which I am sure can not be independently verified, VOA simply points out the source and gives a summary of the report.
(ii) Amazingly AFP writes a rather long news piece based on the note, but brings no new information to the table. See
