The second item is:
"Q When Houston's Intercontinental Airport was renamed for our 41st
President, why wasn't it given the senior Bush's middle initials, H.W., to
distinguish the name from President Number 43's?
Carolyn Guerts, Cross Plains, Wis.
"A The airport was renamed in 1997. 'Until George W. Bush became President,
the 41st President Bush never used his middle initials,' George H.W. Bush
chief of staff, Jean Becker, says. 'But once his son became President, the
elder Bush began to realize that it was necessary, to help identify which
President Bush was being referred to.' The aircraft carrier U.S.S. George
H. W. Bush , christened in 2006, is one example.
