That is not surprising. But, GDP growth is real in the sense that it creates new jobs, which is the cornerstone that keeps the Chinese society relatively stable. The problem is, the growth may not be organic and has created too much corruptions and structural problems that make long term growth unsustainable. I

China's economic development in the last three decades is undeniable.

There are skeptics about China's GDP figures. Economist magazine and VOA Chinese reported and kicked the tire. The former generally believes that there are times of over-stating and some other times of under-stating, which seemed to concide with dictates from Beijing but evened out in the long run. It is unclear (to me) what Mr. Li meant exactly.
