(2) March of Lettuce Bot; Robotics: A machine that helps lettuce farmers is just one of several robots intended to automate aspects of agriculture and horticulture. (in Technology Quarterly).

My comment:
(a) I heard of Blue River Technology about a half year ago, went to its web site and saw nothing there how the job was done to differentiate a weed from a lettuce. I just visited it, which is same old. Maybe because the technology is not ripe for commercial use, or because it is a trade secret.
(b) Also I visited just now the web site of Vineland Research and Innovation Centre (based in Vineland Station, Ontario), which is not helpful, either.
