("'National History' magazine, published by the state-run Chengdu Xianfeng Culture Media Co based in Sichuan Province, had compiled a series of articles authored by Taiwanese writers for a special February edition titled 'Taiwan's Foot,' the Oriental Daily News reported")
My comment:
(a) There is no need to read the report--just read the primary source (see (2)). I list this report, to show why I was confused in searching for "Oriental Daily News." There are two newspapers with this title (both in English and in Chinese 東方日報).
(b)
(i) The one in Hong Kong: in traditional Chinese; established in 1969; one of the two newspapers--the other being Sun Daily 太陽報--published by the Oriental Press Group Limited 東方報業集團有限公司, found by Ma's Family 馬惜珍兄弟; "The paper has been number one in circulation since 1976, with a record readership of over 3,100,000. Apple Daily is its main competitor"

(ii) The Malaysian one: in simplified Chinese; officially launched on New Year's Day 2003. The newspaper group is owned by KTS Group 啟德行集團, a Sarawak timber company founded by late Datuk [Seri] LaU Hui Kang 拿督斯里 劉會幹

Note: Please take notice that the website of this newspaper is exteemely slow, taking minutes. My suggestion is click the link and do somthing else wqhile waiting (multitasking, that is).
