(1) Neil Mawston, Xiaomi Becomes World's 3rd Largest Smartphone Vendor in Q3 2014
blogs.strategyanalytics.com/WSS/post/2014/10/29/Xiaomi-Becomes-Worlds-3rd-Largest-Smartphone-Vendor-in-Q3-2014.aspx
("According to the latest report from our WSS (Smartphones) research service, global smartphone shipments grew 27 percent annually to reach a record 320 million units in the third quarter of 2014. Xiaomi was the star performer, capturing a record 6 percent marketshare and becoming the world’s third largest smartphone vendor for the first time ever")

My comment:
(i) The quotation is the only thing the analysis discloses to the public. The rest of the report is for subscribers only. There is no need even to click the link.
(ii) That is a snapshot for 3Q14, as of yesterday (Oct 29). Today is a different story. See next.

(一月份宣布收购; today 完成收购)
(b) Neil Mawston, Lenovo & Motorola Hold 8% Share of Global Smartphone Market in Q3 2014
www.strategyanalytics.com/defaul ... viewer&a0=10233
(summary: "Lenovo and Motorola confirmed this week -- Thursday, 30th October, 2014 -- that the US$2.9 billion deal to merge their separate smartphone divisions has been approved by global authorities and wrapped up. Two become one. Their combined global smartphone marketshare now sits at 8%")

Note: Look to (1)(i) above for the caveat.
