My comment: There is no need ot read the rest. Just click the graphic to see
canada naval force. Smaller than Taiwan's.
(a) Upholder/Victoria class submarine

(diesel-electric; UK built four, which were deployed 1990-1994;
decommissioned following a defence review by the UK government that decided
to maintain an all-nuclear powered submarine fleet rather than a mix of
diesel with fewer nuclear submarines; Canada bought them and started
operating in 2000)
(b) HMCS stands for Her Majesty's Canadian Ship.
