My comment: There is no need to read either of the two WSJ reports.

(1) 中国黑客被指侵入美国商会网络. BBC Chinese, Dec 21, 2011.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/zhongwen/si ... china_hackers.shtml

Note: The report is based on
Siobhan Gorman, China Hackers Hit US Chamber: Attacks breached computer system of business-lobbying group; Emails stolen.
Wall Street Journal, Dec 21, 2011 (front-page; top report)
("The Chamber learned of the break-in when the Federal Bureau of Investigation told the group that servers in China were stealing its information")

Note:
(a) United States Chamber of Commerce
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Chamber_of_Commerce
(The Chamber was created by President Taft [presidency 1909-1913] as a counterbalance to the labor movement of the time; Founded 1912; Location  Washington DC)
(b) It is data of the DC headquarters that was breached, though its servers under attack were in China)

(2) Paul Sonne, Belarus Talking to China Firm About Gear; The potential sales raise concerns in light of Minsk's recent crackdowns on dissent. Wall Street Journal, Dec 21, 2011.

The first two paragrpshs:

"A Chinese telecom-equipment giant has held talks to install a video-surveillance system for Belarus, according to the government of the former Soviet republic, a regime with a track record of suppressing public dissent.

"The company, Huawei Technologies Co, recently said it is scaling back its business in Iran. The announcement came after a [Dec 9] report in The Wall Street Journal that Huawei was supporting echnology that can be used by Iranian police to track mobile-phone locations.
