Andrew Jacobs, China’s Uncertainties May Drive Wave of Nationalism; A new campaign to rid china of people who are inthe country illegally. New York Times, May 26, 2012

("foreign residents have expressed bewilderment over the rapid shift in public sentiment. It is a seesawing of emotion that can veer from the worshipful to the venomously resentful")

My comment:
(a) Please skip web page 1 (describing things we already knew) and start at the begining of page 2 ("On Friday night, a phalanx of three dozen officers made the rounds of Sanlitun").
(b) Oklahoma!

(The musical [which opened in Broadway in 1943] is based on Lynn Riggs' 1931 play, Green Grow the Lilacs; Set in Oklahoma Territory outside the town of Claremore in 1906)

* Territory of Oklahoma (1890-1907, when admitted to the Union)
