My comment:
(a) greater fool theory

(the belief held by one who makes a questionable investment, with the assumption that they will be able to sell it later to "a greater fool")
(b) Founded in 2001, A123 Systems is headquartered in Waltham (a western neighbor of Cambridge), Massachusetts. For years, we in Massachusetts heard bad news, and more bad news about this company: first US car makers abandoned it, then * * * It has been losing money.
