Annie Huang, Sprucing up the dead is big business in Taiwan. Associated
Press, Jan. 20, 2010.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100120/ap_on_bi_ge/as_fea_taiwan_dead_end_2
("Big money was one of the things that drew Yuan Cheng-yi, 43, to a job at
Lung Yen Life Service some five years ago. That was when the former
beautician discovered that working on dead bodies paid more than working on
live ones.")

My comment:
(a) Lung Yen Life Service Co., Ltd 龍巖人本股份有限公司
www.lungyengroup.com.tw/
(b) Departures (film)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Departures_(film)

The Japanese title of the film Okuribito is defined as "送り人 【おくりびと
】 (n) (See 迎え人) person who sees someone else off (e.g. at the airport)"
Jom Breen's Japanese dictionary.

(3) In my view, the fact that service at Taiwanese funeral homes are
expensive is due to lack of competition (look at what internet has done to
US).
