(i) About: "NextVPU refers to 'Next Vison Processing Unit.' "  NextVPU 肇观电子
(ii) MextVPU is not a chipmaker, but a chip designer.
(iii) It is hard for me, an outsider, to comprehend why a software maker needs "updates from American software providers."  Can't one, or a team, simply write from scratch?
(iv) TSMC is still at the service of Chinese chip designers. Isn't it enough?
(b) The pie chart is somewhat surprising. There are no chip designers in South Korea, Israel etc?
(c) "Cici Zhang, an analyst with Taipei-based research firm TrendForce 集邦科技"

Cici Zhang 张茜 seems to be Chinese from PRC and based in that country.
(d) "Inspur, the world's third-largest server maker and the No 1 in China"

(e) "Siecom, a Shenzhen-based software developer"

Bloomberg's company overview says Shenzhen Zhigao Communication Technology Development Co, Ltd  深圳市至高通信技术发展有限公司 use Siecom.cn  (not .com). Indeed Siecom is part of Siemens.
(f) "Jiang Yijie, an executive of Shanghai-based chipmaker Montage LZ" Technologies 澜至电子
(g) "Central Government Procurement Center"  中央国家机关政府采购中心
(h) "Zhejiang Shijing Sensor Technology, which produces chips for carmakers"

I fail to find this company.
