I fail to find definitions or explanations of Buick grab anywhere in the Web. The closest I find is:
Tim Neville, Can an Old Skier Learn New Tricks?  New York Times, Feb 17, 2022 (blog)
https://www.nytimes.com/2022/02/17/travel/ski-tricks-utah.html
("Consider the X Games in January in Aspen, when the Park City local and Olympian Alex Hall performed an electrifying 'switch double-cork twenty-one sixty Buick-grab' a new trick whereby he hit the jump facing backward (switch), did six full spins (2,160 degrees), two of them so off-axis they looked more like spirals (double cork, like a corkscrew), all while reaching his right arm across his chest to grab his right ski, now behind him (a Buick grab), and then untangled himself to land at high speed, backward, again")

Of course I can not find the name's origin.

(1) Here are three photos of Eileen Gu's Buick grab (all three in 2022 Olympics: It is unclear in which event (slopestyle or halfpipe) the first photo was taken, by whom, the second in halfpipe, and the third slopestyle).

(b) See the Jumps, Twists and Grabs That Brought Eileen Gu Three Olympic Medals. Chinese Intelligence, Feb 18, 2022
https://www.chineseintelligence. ... ree-olympic-medals/
("And on Friday, she concluded with a gold in what she considered her best event: the halfpipe.  Halfpipe: Friday, Feb 18 [which is sectional heading] * * * in the second of the three runs] a cork 900 with her signature Buick grab, at a staggering height of 13 feet, 9 inches.  Photograph by Bedel Saget")

(c) Gremaud of Switzerland Earns Gold in Ski Slopestyle; Gu Wins Silver. Associated Press, Feb 15, 2022
https://www.koreatimes.co.kr/www/nation/2022/02/802_323919.html
(Eileen Gu earned a silver medal with her final run of the Olympic women's ski slopestyle contest Tuesday, keeping alive her quest to become the first action-sports athlete to capture three medals at the same Winter Games [she succeeded, in part bercause Big Air debuted this year in winter Olympics]. * * * on a bitterly cold and hazy day with the temperature hovering around minus 20 degrees Celsius. Kelly Sildaru of Estonia took home bronze.   Sitting in eighth place after two runs -out of three], Gu used a strong final performance to work her way onto the podium. Her run included a double-cork 900 with a Buick grab at the end that impressed the judges and earned her a score of 86.23. She couldn't catch Gremaud, though, who scored an 86.56 on her second run.   It's an upgrade in medals for Gremaud, who won the silver at the 2018 PyeongChang Games and captured bronze in big air last week in Beijing. She also finished second at the Winter X Games last month")
, whose third photo is Gu's Buick grab.

(2) Here is a photo of "Hall's signature Buick grab" -- quoting media -- of Alex Hall (1998- ; birth place: Fairbanks, Alaska ; hometown: Park City, Utah; height: 6 foot 4; gold medalist in the men's slopestyle skiing event at the 2022 Games in Beijing):

(photo caption: "BEIJING, CHINA - FEBRUARY 07: Alexander Hall of Team United States performs a trick during the Men's Freestyle Skiing Freeski Big Air Qualification on Day 3 of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games at Big Air Shougang on February 07, 2022 in Beijing, China. In January 2022 X Games, Hall pulled off a (double cork) 2160 - a jump with six full 360-degree rotations in Big Air -- the first time for anybody in a competition. However, in Feb 8, 2022 men's big air, Hall faltered and got nothing, nor did he perform 2160 for sure. The gold medalist was Norway's Birk Ruud with "a switch left triple 1980 mute, five and a half rotations": quoting Reuters.

(3) Luke O'Brien is the inventor of Buick grab.

("I think I was doing the buick before A Hall. I keep hearing all the announcers at X games and olympics saying Alex hall invented the buick grab and how its [sic] his signature grab. But I think I was doing it before him. Not sure. Thoughts?? There's a Clip of me doing it in 2014 at 0:50")
