(b) The nouon "shaurya" is Hindi for "valor."
(c) For K-15, see Sagarika (missile)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sagarika_(missile)
(sagarika, Hindi for "cceanic;" "The development of this missile (under the
title Project K-15) started in 1991;" to be in service 2010)

(d) The noun "arihant" is Hindi for "slayer of enemies."
(e) According to Wikipedia, currently India navy has, among others,  ten (10
) kilo-class diesel-electric submarines that was built locally  under a
contract from Russia and in commission from 1986 through 2000. It appears
that none of Indian submarines is capable of shooting a missile UNDER the
water.

My comment: But see

Editorial: Sky’s the limit. Indian Express, Feb. 16, 2010.

("Take the claim that India is developing anti-satellite weapons. Here he [
DRDO head V.K. Saraswat] is talking about a weapon system that does not
exist; and the Chinese have conducted ASAT weapon tests in 2007 and 2010
without making any claims in advance. Did he have the political clearance to
say this? Did he consult the foreign office which is campaigning in Geneva
against an 'arms race' in outer space?")

Quote:

"India has always considered South Asia to be its backyard, like a Monroe
Doctrine.

"V. R. Raghavan, a retired general in the Indian Army, said that China for
years had tacitly allowed Tibetans to cross into Nepal, many of whom were
making pilgrimages or attending universities in India. But the March [2008]
protests made China realize that it had a 'southern window' that needed to
be closed, he said.
