My comment:
(a) This is a report (whose title is shown above), with a front-page teaser (shown online as photo 1): "AMAZING!  HISTORIC HUB FACE TRANSPLANT RAISES HOPES FOR WOUNDED WARRIORS"

* Boston nicknames itself Hub: the hub of the world.
* In the front page of the print edition, under the inset is a caption: "Hub surgeons perform the first full face transplant in the US for Dallas Wiens, seen with daughter Scarlette in 2008, before face was disfugured in an electrical accident.

The caption can not be seen in the online photo of the front page.
* Photo 2 appears online only but not in the print, presumably not to scare off people. The print edition of Boston Globe displayed Mr Wiens photo before the operation, in the SIDE view.

(b) Wiens is a German surname: from wini "friend."

* In
Winnie-the-Pooh

, Winnie is a pet form of first name Winifred, that in turn came from Welch Gwenfrewi (Old English  wynn joy + fried peace)

(d) In the home page of Brigham and Women's Hospital, go to left lower corner for "First Full Face Transplant in US." In the new web page, read at least
* Download high-res images
* Photo Captions
* Fact Sheet

I use an old computer in a library, which can not open the tag "Download an animation," so I do not know what is there.

In the home page of the Hospital, read one of teh three feature articles "They Did Everything Possible for Jim Maki including a Face Transplant  LEARN MORE ABOUT FACE TRANSPLANT SURGERY

Barry Goldstein, Battlemind. Boston Globe Magazine, Mar 20, 2011.

Note:
(a) Boston Globe publishes the Magazine every Sunday.
(b) Do not forget to see "PHOTOS Scenes from the Afghan front"--a tag in the left column of the web page. They are haunting. Americans are indeed professionals/soldiers.
