There is no need to visit the web site. However, my venture there shows that a Flora expo is meant to about real flora in Taiwan, only to be overshadowed by the digital stuff.

(Paper-thin speakers; 65-inch 3-D films with no need for special viewing glasses; Viewers' pulses turn cocoons into butterflies; a 3.5-ton artificial flower opens and folds its petals to the rhythm of pop music;

My comment:

My comment; No need to read the rest.

(a third fab of GlobalFoundries, besides the ones in Dresden, Germany (in operation), Saratoga, New York (under construction).

My comment:
(a) The TSMC move has less to do with staving off challenges from GlobalFoundries, and more to do with its production not meeting demand.
(b) GlobalFoundries may very well dash China's hopes for a toehold in semiconductor industry--as well as Taiwan semiconductor industry's investments in China (a less advanced fab, that is).

My comment: Just take a look at the color graphic. Taiwan is unable to make NAND flash.
