(1) an overview:

death and state funeral of Elizabeth II
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/De ... ral_of_Elizabeth_II
(a) A photo in this page has the caption that reads: "Elizabeth II lying in state at Westminster Hall."
(i) Palace of Westminster
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palace_of_Westminster
("Its name, which derives from the neighbouring Westminster Abbey, may refer to several historic structures but most often: the Old Palace, a medieval building-complex largely destroyed by fire in 1834, or its replacement, the New Palace that stands today. The palace is owned by the Crown"/ section 3 Interior, section 3.11 Westminster Hall: "The roof was probably originally supported by pillars, giving three aisles, but during the reign of King Richard II, this was replaced by a hammerbeam roof by the royal carpenter Hugh Herland * * * which allowed the original three aisles to be replaced with a single huge open space, with a dais at the end. The new roof was commissioned in 1393")

Pay attention to a photo and two sketches in section 3.11 for "hammerbeam roof."
(A) Westminster Hall's is "The world's first Hammerbeam roof." from the Web.
(B) The Hammer-Beam Roof. UK Parliament, undated
https://www.parliament.uk/about/ ... -hammer-beam-roof-/
("The magnificent hammer-beam roof of Westminster Hall is the largest medieval timber roof in Northern Europe. Measuring 20.7 by 73.2 metres (68 by 240 feet)")
(C) timber roof truss
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timber_roof_truss
(section 2 Closed truss: "Closed truss: A truss with a tie beam * * * Open truss: A truss with an interrupted tie beam or scissor truss which allow a vaulted ceiling area"/ section 3 Open trusses)

At the top of this page is an illustration of "two king post trusses," which uses terminology such as "principal rafters" and "common rafters" without explaining them. At section 2 Closed truss. section 2.1 King post truss, the illustration. sketch mentions "principal rafters." View Rafter. Design Buildings; The construction wiki, undated
https://www.designingbuildings.co.uk/wiki/Rafter
("The most common types of rafter include:
• Principal rafter: Usually the largest type of rafter located at the ends of a roof structure.
• Common rafter: Smaller rafters located in between the principals at both ends")

Brice Cochran, The 5 Basic Timber Frame Trusses. Timber Frame Headquarters, undated.
https://timberframehq.com/timber-frame-trusses/
Here, you see the difference between king post truss and queen post truss.
(D) In "hammerbeam roof," the hammerneam is a noun modifier and one word; "hammer beam" is a noun and made of two words. It is called "hammer beam" because the vertical and (short) horizontal members together looks like a hammer.

A pair of hammer beams is "an interrupted tie beam."

"Another notable characteristic of Perpendicular Gothic is hammerbeam roofs." from the Web.

Beneath the photo described in (1)(a) is a map with caption: "The route of the Queue along the River Thames. The front is in Westminster Hall (left), and at its greatest extend the back is in Southwark Park (right)."

The pertinent text is at section 4 State funeral, section 4.2 Service and processions: "On the day of the funeral, the coffin was moved from Westminster Hall at 10:44 to Westminster Abbey on the State Gun Carriage of the Royal Navy * * * The coffin arrived at Westminster Abbey at 10:52. * * * At 12:15, the coffin was taken in a procession from Westminster Abbey to Wellington Arch on the State Gun Carriage * * * The hearse left London for Windsor at 13:37 * * * The coffin [still in carriage] arrived in [Town of] Windsor at 15:00. A final procession [on foot] occurred at Albert Road and via the Long Walk to St George's Chapel"

(2)
(a) The procession with Queen Elizabeth II coffin proceeded along the Long Walk of Windsor Great Park.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windsor_Great_Park
(section 3 Features, section 3.1 The Long Walk + section 3.2 The Copper Horse)

The Long Walk starts at The Copper Horse and ends at Windsor Caste gate (no name for this gate).
(b) However, the procession on foot does not travel the entire Long Walk.

(C) "Windsor Castle is situated 1¼ miles north of Shaw Farm Gate." from the Web.
(ii) What is committal service or ceremony?

(3) Windsor Castle
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windsor_Castle
(a) The top photo has the caption: "Upper Ward and Round Tower viewed from the Long Walk in Windsor Great Park." This gate at teh end of the Long Walk is without a name.
(b) A map in this Wiki page has the caption: "Plan of Windsor Castle," where G is St George's chapel.
(c) Section 1 Architecture, section 1.1 Middle Ward: "At the heart of Windsor Castle is the Middle Ward, a bailey [the courtyard within castle wall] formed around the motte or artificial hill in the centre of the ward. The motte is 50 feet (15 m) high and is made from chalk originally excavated from the surrounding ditch. The keep, called the Round Tower, on the top of the motte * * * "

Both motte and moat (two English nouns) came from the same Old French word (and hence are called a doublet or a cognate in linguistics).
(d) Further down the Wiki page is a photo with caption: "Aerial view of the castle from the south: from left to right, the Lower Ward, the Middle Ward and Round Tower, the Upper Ward and East Terrace garden, with the Long Walk in the lower right hand corner [5 o'clock]. The River Thames can be seen in the upper left of the picture."

Quote:

(i) "At the service's conclusion, the Queen's coffin was lowered into the Royal Vault -- the resting place of many past monarchs. Below the chapel lie King George III, IV and V, William IV and others. Last year Prince Philip, the Queen's husband, was also laid to rest there.

(ii) "However, the vault was not her final resting place. Later on Monday [Sept 19] evening, a private burial service was due to be held for the royal family, when the Queen is to be relocated to the King George VI Memorial Chapel. Here the Queen's coffin will join those of her parents, King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother.

"The coffin of Prince Philip will also be relocated, so that the Queen can be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband of 73 years.

"Although it is closed for Monday's private ceremony, ordinarily the Chapel is open to the public, meaning Britons can visit the Queen's final resting place to pay their respects.
