(i) Tripp is an English surname, used as a first name in Tripp Mickle, is "from Middle English trip(pe) (n) '(to) dance; stumble' (Old French tripe(r)) * * * [denoting] an occupational name for a dancer." Dictionary of American Family Names. 2nd ed. Oxford Univ Press, 2022.  
(ii) New Times website (www.nytimes.com) says about Mr Chang: "Chang Che is the Asia technology correspondent for The New York Times. Before joining the Times in 2022, he was a freelance writer." The cn.nytimes.com states, "Chang Che是时报亚洲科技记者." The reporter does not want to use Chinese name, if any.
