(1) CIA finally published the 2013 edition, at least in terms of the Economy section of countries, the section I am interested in. (Wiki states that CIA updates the online version weekly, since 2010. Until a couple of days ago the economy data were still those of 2011. In this PRELIMINARY report for the new year of 2013, for Taiwan GDP per capita (PPP) increased a little, from $37,700 to $38,500--although the Economist at the end of 2011 that the same for Taiwan could reach $40,000 in a year (at the end of 2012).
