("Talking to them [dictators] and seeking to grasp their ways of thinking should not be equated with appeasement. Knowledge of the other’s aims and fears ought to be regarded as an indispensable tool for self-defense")

My comment: I favor dialog with China. I also understand why DPP in Taiwan is pissed off and refuse to deal with China: the Chen administration was friendly to China but China held back, waiting for Mr. Ma Ying-jeou to assume presidency. China's dream came true, but then China realized that Pres. Ma alone could not accomplish many goals of China. China turned around, offering DPP an olve branch. This time DPP spurned it.

In a recent survey of 113 colleges and universities, conducted by the Yi Ren Ping Center, 94 acknowledged that infected applicants, required to take blood tests, would be summarily rejected.
