媒体关注中国器官移植来源. BBC Chinese, Aug. 28, 2009.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/chinese/simp/hi/newsid_8220000/newsid_8227000/8227090.stm

The report is actually a medley.

(1) The first half discusses organ transplantation, which cites

(a) Tania Branigan, Executed prisoners are main source of Chinese organ donations; Chinese authorities launch a national donation scheme, as death-row figures are revealed. Guardian, Aug. 26, 2009.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2009/aug/26/china-organ-donation-prisoners

Quote:

"This year, a study in the journal Clinical Transplantation said that only 4% of transplant experts surveyed believed procurement processes in China were ethically sound. It also cited World Health Organisation figures suggesting that around 10% of transplants occurred via "transplant tourism" in 2005, with China among the leading destinations for patients.

My comment: There is no need to read the Guardian report.

(b) The Guardian in turn cited

Biggins SW, Bambha K, Terrault N, Inadomi J, Roberts JP and Bass N,
Transplant tourism to China: the impact on domestic patient-care decisions. Clinical Transplantation, vol _, pages __ (2009).
http://www3.interscience.wiley.com/journal/121634552/abstract?CRETRY=1&SRETRY=0

(2) The second half talks about "中国的'妾'卷土重来":

Leslie Coonan, Welcome back: Return of capitalism to China means a major comeback for the concubine; The return of mistresses and an explosion in corruption are intimately connected, many angry Chinese believe. The Independent, Aug. 26, 2009.
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/asia/welcome-back-return-of-capitalism-to-china-means-a-major-comeback-for-the-concubine-1777215.html

Note:
(a) jumped-up (adj., Chiefly British): "having recently gained prominence or fame and appearing arrogant"
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/jumped-up
(b) sot (vt.): "1 : infatuate  2 : to make dull or stupid; especially : to muddle with drunkenness"
(c) drinking vinegar
白大哥就是搞不懂秦人的文化居然把大老婆替老公找小老婆叫做吃醋
http://www.xys.org/forum/db/5/137/103.html
(d) Pang Jiayu 庞家钰
(e) Duan Yihe 段义和
(f) Yang Feng 杨枫,安徽省宣城市原市委副书记
(g) Xu Qiyao 前江苏省建设厅厅长徐其耀
(h) redolent (adj.): "EVOCATIVE, SUGGESTIVE"
English definitions in (b) and (h) are from www.m-w.com.

My comment:
(a) Founded in 1986, The Independent is center left, daily with a circulation of 215,000 and headquarters at London. Wikipedia.
(b) Leslie Cheung Kwok-Wing 張國榮 (born 1956) in the photo.
