Malcolm Moore, Briton opens Shanghai's first burlesque club. A British impresario is hoping to restore Shanghai's decadent reputation by opening the first burlesque cabaret since the city teemed with dance halls, White Russians and gangsters in the 1930s. Telegraph, Oct. 3, 2009.

(b) My comment: This is a lengthy story. An American firework worker was injured by Chinese firework in 1994, sued, won when a Chinese state-owned company defaulted, was awarded $4.6 million (now $7 million with interests). He could not collect the judgment. Then the Chinese company entered the case, albeit belatedly, and the state court (in Pennsylvania) vacated the judgemtn and the American appealed.
