Quote:

China "doesn’t disclose the number of executions it carries out per year * * * It also doesn’t give details on how many organs are extracted from prisoners, either.

"In 2009, China began a trial program accepting organ donations, one that has been expanding gradually.

"Chinese officials have previously said about 10,000 transplants are performed each year in China, and Mr. Huang has said that about 300,000 people needed transplants.

Note:
(a) The report is mostly based on

陈君 and 吴济海, 黄洁夫委员:取消死囚器官来源标志着中国人权事业的进步. 新华网, Mar 11, 2015

("黄洁夫说,今年1月1日至3月3日,中国公民捐献器官381例,近1000个器官")

That is way too few.
(b) "According to a 2011 paper co-written by Mr. Huang in the medical journal Lancet, about 65% of the transplants in China at the time used organs from deceased donors, and more than 90% of those were executed prisoners."
