Indiana state law does not require consent to record in-person or face-to-face conversation. That state does require one-party consent to "electronic communication," which nowadays covers both phone call (which used to be analog) and computer.  Indiana Code 35-31.5-2-176.

Massachusetts is one of the 12 states that requires all-party consent to record a in-person conversation, a phone call or computer connection.
