"Dulong River Valley 独龙江峡谷. It is home to almost all of the country's 7,000 ethnic Dulong 独龙族人, or Drung, one of the smallest of the 56 official national ethnic groups. The lifeline of this northwest corner of Yunnan Province is the Dulong River 独龙江, which begins on the Tibetan plateau and flows through this valley into Myanmar, where it merges into the Irrawaddy. In Yunnan, the river runs 90 kilometers, or 56 miles.
