(i) An avid supporter of president Chen Shui-bian, I am surprised that his photo was chosen for this story.
(ii) Maria Shriver, the former wife of Arnold Schwarzenegger, is "of German descent through her father" en.wikipedia.org. Shriver is Americanized spelling of Dutch/German surname Schriever, which also gave rise to surname Schriver.
