My comment:
(a) Read only the four paragraphs, the first being the one (paragraph) beginning with "In the technology industry." It is surprising that the founder is a billionaire.
(b) The surname Newmark is Americanized form
(i) of Scandinavian Nymark, name of places from farms named with ny new + mark field, or
(ii) of German and Ashkenazic Jewish Neumark [Yiddish: new market], also place names.
