Eventually, for nigirizushi one hand is not enough (unlike onigiri).

(e) "I used to make hand-rolled sushi in Japan during the Japanese holiday 'Setsubun.' On this day, there's a unique tradition where everyone involved must eat an Ehomaki, a thick sushi roll, whole in silence. It's said that eating the roll will bring good luck in the new year. This holiday is in place for the tradition of driving away demons and welcoming Lunar New Year."

The ja.wikipedia.org for 節分 states that 節分 is the day before start of a, any season (立春・立夏・立秋・立冬). In other words, there are four 節分 a year.  In Japan, spring begins on 立春: Feb 3 or 4. However, in US spring begins on vernal equinox 春分: Mar 20-22.
