My comment:
(1) Massachusetts state law (namely common law, which is not enacted by
Legislature and decided through centuries by judges) sets a high bar for
insanity defense. Almost no defendants in this commonwealth have been found
not guilty due to insanity. Then again, insanity defense is the last ditch
of criminal defense in this commonwealth. In this defense, a defendant
admits he did commit the crime but he should be found quilty nonetheless
because at the time of the crime, he can not tell what he was doing was
wrong.
(2) Some Chinese may blame 外F as the cause. However, men and women in
various cultures succumb to the irrationalities (which is not insanity in
Massachusetts). Such as the 1987 film Fatal Attraction.
(3) Breaking news:
John A. Hawkinson, Tang trial delayed again. The Tech, June 30, 2010 (1:06
pm, which is two hours ago; online edition).

Started in 1881, The Tech is campus press of MIT (which first accepted
students in 1865).
